District to Host Resume-Building Workshop for the Community

flyer In anticipation of building improvements at Nelson Mandela High School next year, the Mount Vernon City School District is hosting a resume-building workshop for local members of the community and laborers looking to work on renovations at the site.

“We’ve seen a growing interest in the community wanting to work for the Mount Vernon City School District as laborers,” said Adriane Saunders, trustee for the Mount Vernon Board of Education. “In order to welcome these inquiries, our construction managers need to see a history of labor work and experience in the form of a resume.”

On Wednesday, January 9, 2019, members of the Mount Vernon community are invited to attend the resume-building workshop from 6:00 – 8:00 p.m. at the AB Davis STEAM Academy. Attendees will be eligible to receive a free 10-hour OSHA certification course hosted by councilman André Wallace.
