Annual Gift Giveaway Brings Joy to Edward Williams Students

This year’s Annual Gift Giveaway was a heartwarming success! Thanks to the incredible generosity of the Edward Williams staff and the Mount Vernon Department of Public Works, we received over 400 gifts for our students. Our celebration was made even more special by the presence of Superintendent Dr. Strickland, representatives from Fleetwood Bakery and Mayor Shawyn Patterson Howard, who joined us in spreading holiday cheer.

As part of the event, we proudly awarded two bicycles to a 3rd grade student and a 6th grade student for exemplifying PAWS Pride, showing Pride in our school and themselves, Acting Kindly, Working hard, and demonstrating Self-Control.

The highlight of the day came when Administration, Mr. Casey and Ms. LeFever, dramatically opened the curtain to reveal the mountain of gifts to our excited students. It was a moment of pure joy and community spirit that truly reflects the heart of Edward Williams School.
