RTA students participate in engaging Q & A with Westchester School for Medical and Dental Assistants

Rebecca Turner Academy students received a visit from The Westchester School for Medical and Dental Assistants on Thursday, March 6, 2025. Representatives, Mr. Fabian and Mr. Marcelo were greeted by students eager to learn about their program offerings. Many RTA students have expressed interest in the various healthcare fields and were prepared to engage in a Q & A.

RTA’s School Counselor, Mrs. Goire-Peralta and The Westchester School for Medical and Dental Assistants have collaborated to offer students opportunities to help them attain new skills and experiences by earning a program certificate and receiving job placement while still attending school. This unique opportunity allows students to become certified in growing fields such as Phlebotomy, Dental Radiology, EKG, Certified Nursing Assistant and Medical Billing & Coding. While this opportunity requires diligence, commitment and focus, RTA students have already proved with their soaring graduation rates that they can handle such a task.

As RTA continuously aims to prepare students for their future, this is just one of the many resources and partnerships that have resulted in prosperous outcomes for RTA students. RTA is gearing up to visit The Westchester School for Medical and Dental Assistants for their open house on March 20th.
