Pennington cupids create Valentine's Day cards for the community

Scholars at the Pennington School dedicated their time and creativity to producing over 300 handcrafted Valentine’s Day cards, each containing thoughtful messages of kindness and compassion, for distribution to senior living communities. Pennington School partnered with the Mount Vernon Police Department Wellness Division, whose officers carefully delivered the cards to the residents of Sunrise Assisted Living and the Westchester Rehabilitation Center in Mount Vernon.

This act of generosity was part of the Cupid Project, a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization that sponsors this annual card-giving initiative. The beautifully crafted Valentine’s Day cards were created to help combat loneliness among older adults, foster a sense of community connection, and bring joy to individuals who may have limited contact with family members.
