Scholars at Nelson Mandela/Dr. Hosea Zollicoffer School receive honor roll for first quarter

Scholars from third through eighth grade at Nelson Mandela/Dr. Hosea Zollicoffer School were recognized for their honor roll and principal's list achievements on Wednesday, December 6, 2023. The ceremony started with a commencement speech by Principal Barbara Abbey, followed by students receiving a certificate for their accomplishments. After the ceremony, students gathered with their family to celebrate with light refreshments.  

“We're here today to honor our students who made honor roll for the first marking period,” said Ms. Abbey. “These are the students who have been exemplary, who've tried, who've been consistent, who've been doing their homework, who have been in class participating, who are making decisions that pave the way for their futures; we are super super proud of them. We are also grateful for the families and friends who will join us today to honor the students.”
