NMHZ students use lessons from school year to build math games

Students in Vito Dimatteo's sixth grade class at Nelson Mandela/Dr. Hosea Zollicoffer School were recently tasked with the objective of creating different types of math games based on core arithmetic skills they learned this year. Students went from creating math chutes and ladders, to creating ping pong tables, turf and mini football fields. Games ranged from small group teams of one to one or groups of four, to playing math bingo and jeopardy as a whole class.
