NMHZ pre-K celebrates "12 Days of Holidays"

This season, the pre-K class at Nelson Mandela/Hosea Zollicoffer Elementary School is lighting up with festive cheer through their unique celebration of "The 12 Days of Holidays." Created by Pre-K Director Dr. Gayle White, this special event is designed to immerse young learners in the joy of the holidays through themed story days and creative projects.

Each day, the little ones dive into a new story that aligns with the day's theme, ranging from Candy Cane Day to Gift Day. This interactive celebration not only sparks imagination but also provides a cultural tapestry through days like Dreidel Day and Kwanzaa Day.

Guest readers are a cherished part of this new tradition. For Arctic Day, Principal Danielle Davis-Marrow, enchanted the children with the story "Tacky the Penguin" by Helen Lester. Following the reading, the students brought their arctic adventure to life by crafting their own penguins.

Join us as we continue to explore the magic of the holidays with creativity, stories, and the joy of community!
