Lincoln School hosts spirit week to finish off the school year

Students at Lincoln School could be seen walking down the hallways, wearing soccer jerseys from different countries and waving flags from all around the world for Culture Day during spirit week, which began on Monday, June 17, 2024.

Throughout the week, students have been able to participate in different themed days such as “Anything But a Backpack Day" and Mismatch Day to commemorate the end of the school year. Spirit week was put together by the Lincoln student government committee, a group of students who help organize events at the school, such as this one.

“I think spirit week is very important because I feel that some schools don’t have that, and I feel that the kids have a lot of fun with it and enjoy it,” said Ana Clara Ferreira, eighth grade student and student government treasurer at Lincoln School. “For Culture Day, it’s just showing off your culture and where you come from, and I feel that is really important to represent.”
