Lincoln School celebrates second annual Wakanda Night

Students and families in the Lincoln School community continues to celebrate Black history by attending the second annual Wakanda Family Night on Wednesday, March 7, 2024. Families played games, ate dishes inspired by authentic African cuisine and enjoyed festive music. 

"It was a wonderful way to come together as a school family and celebrate the rich African culture,” said Assistant Principal Kristin Cipriano. “Students got their faces painted, participated in a fashion show and mingled with each other. All participants were excited to learn a song with its accompanying dance in Swahili. It was a very special evening filled with lots of fun for all."
