Hamilton School observes International Holocaust Remembrance Day

Hamilton School observed International Holocaust Remembrance Day on Tuesday in collaboration with No Place for Hate–Together Against Hate.

Established by the United Nations in 2005, the day marks the liberation of Auschwitz-Birkenau in 1945 and honors the memory of the six million Jews and millions of other victims of the Holocaust.

As a visible sign of remembrance and solidarity, staff members wore purple and yellow, symbolizing a shared commitment to dignity, respect and standing against hate and intolerance. Students engaged in age-appropriate lessons and discussions focused on empathy, inclusion and the importance of responsible citizenship.

Hamilton School remains committed to fostering a community where diversity is respected, history is honored and every student feels safe and valued.

Observances such as International Holocaust Remembrance Day serve as a powerful reminder of our responsibility to remember the past, educate future generations and lead with compassion.
