Grimes middle schoolers go to National Museum of African American History and Culture

Grimes School middle school students took a day trip to the National Museum of African American History and Culture on Monday, March 11, 2024. As a day of learning and reflection, students made real world connections between their social studies curriculum and the exhibits in the museum. 

Students made note of their learning and will be using it for an essay to document their experience at the museum. 

Middle school teachers at Grimes felt it was important to show students the significance of reflecting on the past. Instead of learning through a book, students were able to have a fully immersive experience.
