Graham School families help students celebrate Read Across America Month

Graham School families turned the page on a powerful celebration of culture and connection during Read Across America Month on March 27, as parents joined students in sharing stories in their home languages. In collaboration with ENL teachers Ms. Langton and Mrs. Solomon, Parent Liaison Veronica Graham helped organize an event that invited families into the classroom to read and discuss books in Spanish, Haitian Creole and Arabic. The experience gave students a chance to see their languages and cultures reflected and celebrated in a meaningful way. The program highlighted the rich diversity of the Graham School community while reinforcing the importance of inclusion and belonging for English Language Learners. By bringing families and classrooms together, the event created a shared space where language became a bridge, connecting students to their identities, their peers and their school. Graham School extends its appreciation to all the families who participated and helped make the event a success.
