Principal's message August 2022

Greetings Denzel Washington School of the Arts Family,

I am hoping that all enjoyed their vacation and everything it had to offer.  We are excited to resume school on September 7th  at 8:30 AM when we will continue on our journey in sustaining our goal of excellence in the arts and academics. 

We will hold a student orientation on September 7th where you will receive your schedule, watch performances from our Summer Bridge Program, revisit our school mission and goals, and meet new staff. 

Our first production will be the rescheduled production of A Soldier’s Play on November 17 – 20, 2022. We will also welcome 100 new students in grades 6-10. We sincerely look forward to welcoming our new students to our family. I had the pleasure of meeting many of them via our Summer Bridge Program.  They will prove a great addition to our school community.

Please continue to enjoy the next three weeks and begin to prepare for our best year yet!
