Special Meeting of the Board of Education - Mon., March 17, 2025
PLEASE TAKE NOTICE that a Special Meeting of the Mount Vernon City School District Board of Education will take place on Monday, March 17, 2025, beginning at 6:30 p.m. at the Education Center, 165 North Columbus Ave., Mount Vernon, NY 10553.

Comments about meeting topics and agenda items will be accepted at the email address MVBOEMeetings@mtvernoncsd.org. Parents, students and community members can voice their concerns, opinions and questions during and after meetings using that email.
It is anticipated that upon convening the meeting in public, the Board of Education may determine to immediately entertain a motion to convene an executive session for the purpose of discussing 1) pending litigation, 2) the financial history of a particular person or corporation or matters leading to the appointment, employment, demotion, discipline, suspension, dismissal or removal of a particular person or corporation and 3) to receive legal advice on a pending matter.
Public comments, if any, shall be limited solely to the items being discussed at the special meeting. A speaker wishing to make comments of any other nature may do so at the next regularly scheduled board meeting.

Please take notice, the Mount Vernon City School District will hold Superintendent’s Conference Day on Wednesday, March 19, 2025, and it will be an early dismissal for students. The printed calendar, which lists the date as March 12, is incorrect.
