Pilot Parent Help Desk – On the Web, On the Phone and in Person

The Mount Vernon City School District has opened a Parent Technology Help Desk to provide support to parents and family members who need assistance with instructional technology devices. The help desk will hold support sessions every Thursday from 3 to 6 p.m. at the Education Center.

Technicians will assist parents with their District-owned student devices. To receive technical support for district-owned devices, submit a work order. To submit a tech support work order, please click on the following link: https://lhric.service-now.com/student  

You can also request your appointment by clicking on the following link: https://outlook.office365.com/owa/calendar/ParentTechHelpDesk@mtvernoncsd.onmicrosoft.com/bookings/

Alternatively, you can also call the Technology Department at (914) 358-2361. to place a technical support request. Staff members will answer calls between 7 a.m. and 5 p.m., Monday through Friday and enter the ticket for you.

You can find more information about the Parent Technology Help Desk and the work order system on the District website under the Parent/Guardian and Family/Community section.

If you have an open work order, you do not need to enter a new one.

DWSA Gospel Night 2024

The Denzel Washington School of Arts will host its Gospel Music Concert on Friday, March 15th at 6:30 p.m. The concert will include performances from our own DWSA Gospel Choir, LaGuardia High School of Music and Arts Gospel Choir, LIVE Nation, and Visions of Worship.

Financial Literacy Night

The Family and Community Engagement Committee is holding their Family Fun Financial Literacy Night on Thursday, March 14, 2024, at 6 p.m. Attend to learn more about family budgeting, insurance, setting goals, buying a house, starting a business and more. The theme of the event, which is on Pi Day, is "Managing Your Piece of the Pi."

Flyer for writing contest.

Third-grade students at Grimes are participating in an essay writing contest sponsored by Buddy White. The essay contest will provide positive reinforcement for young students, in hopes of inspiring them to dream big. In addition, the Buddy White project will host a trip to the aquarium for third-grade classes. The contest's sponsors will announce the winner at an assembly on February 29th at 9:30 a.m. Please take a look at the attached flyer for more details.
