Mount Vernon City School District and the PTA Council announce second annual MV Hidden Talent & Fashion Show
The Mount Vernon City School District and PTA Council are excited to announce the return of the MV Hidden Talent & Fashion Show, scheduled for January 10, 2025. This exciting event will showcase the incredible talents and creativity within the Mount Vernon community.
The MV Hidden Talent & Fashion Show is open to all Mount Vernon K-12 students, faculty, and staff. Auditions are now open, and those interested in participating are encouraged to register by November 29, 2024. Click here to sign up and secure your spot.
This event offers a fantastic opportunity for individuals of all ages to showcase their unique talents in front of a supportive community. The show will take place at Mount Vernon High School and will feature a mix of talent performances, a student art showcase, and much more.
In addition to the performances, attendees can enjoy:
• Cash prizes for standout performances
• A thrilling 50/50 raffle
• A student-led concession stand with delicious treats prepared by culinary students

Parents and guardians are invited to join a Zoom webinar on Wednesday, December 4, 2024, from 6 to 7 p.m., to review the i-Ready for Families Report, which will be going home with students in grades K-8. The Mount Vernon City School District is offering subsidized Metro Cards for $145 per semester, half of the full price of $290, for all grade 7-12 students. The Metro Card is only valid on Bee-Line buses, not MTA. Cards are valid for five months, September through January and February through June. Cards are valid Monday through Friday from 5:30 a.m. to 8:30 p.m. with up to four trips per day.
