Infinite Campus: Student information system
Please see the instructions below on how to create your new Infinite Campus Parent Portal account. To begin, click the following link: Parent Portal Activation (Please note Infinite Campus Portal works best in the Google Chrome browser.) If you did not receive your access code, please contact us via email at smcgarty@mtvernoncsd.org.
1. Enter your Activation Key (check your email for activation code)
2. Create a Parent Username and Password (The username should not contain any spaces. Please write down your username and password for later use.)
3. Click Submit
4. Click on Back to Login
5. Enter your Parent's Username and Password
6. Click Log in
7. Please bookmark this link for future Parent Portal Access: Mount Vernon Parent Portal
Once you set up your account, please ensure you update your contact information in demographics.
If you forget your username or password, it can be reset directly by Infinite Campus by clicking on "Forgot Username" or "Forgot Password." You should now be on the Parent Portal and be able to see your student(s) by clicking "Today" on the left side of the screen. Infinite Campus also offers a Mobile Portal App for parents. The mobile app can be downloaded through the Apple App Store or Google Play Store.

In partnership with our transportation provider First Student, the Mount Vernon City School District will be piloting FirstView, a bus tracking and parent communication application for your smartphone or desktop. Available in the Google/Android app store. Click here to download FirstView or contact support.
Mount Vernon High School will hold their Hidden Talent and Fashion show on Friday, January 12, 2023, at 6 p.m. Students at $5, adults are $10 and PTA members get a $1 discount. Contact your school's PTA to buy tickets.
Denzel Washington School of the Arts is holding their Winter Showcase on Wednesday, December 20, 2023, at 6:30 p.m. Music, dance, theater and visual arts students will showcase their talents during the performance in the Phylicia Rashad Auditorium. Tickets at $15 at the door.
Mount Vernon High School will be hosting Steps Towards Graduation on Thursday, December 14, 2023, from 6 to 7:30 p.m. Steps Towards Graduation is a community event geared towards parents and guardians of students with disabilities from all three high schools who will be transitioning to post-secondary education after they graduate. The presentation will help parents and guardians understand the transition process.
Denzel Washington School of the Arts is holding its Student Choreography Showcase in the experimental theater on Friday, December 15, 2023, at 5:30 p.m. The show will feature original works by high school dance majors. Tickets are $10 for adults and $5 for students.
The Skills USA club, which is advised by Samantha Cohen, culinary arts teacher, and Bonnie Ball, nurse instructor, is sponsoring a blood drive at Mount Vernon High School on Wednesday, January 17, 2024, from 8:30 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. in the small gym. The Skills USA club is hoping to get 60 donations, with each donation helping save up to three lives. Scan the QR code to schedule your appointment.
The Mount Vernon City School District will be hosting a webinar on December 18, 2023, at 6:00 p.m. The theme is, “A Cry for Action - All Hands on Deck.” Our scholars in grades K through 8 will be the focus of this webinar.
