February is Heart Health Awareness Month! Join The Mount Vernon City School District in celebrating wellness, movement, & heart health! Make sure you wear red!
Heart Day Celebrations & Activities:
- Celebrations and activities will take place school-wide.
- Classes will celebrate by contributing to heart-centered learning experiences During their specials (Art, Music, PE/Health, and Library Media).
- Activities include storytelling, rhythm and drumming, heart-themed art, dramatic expression,
- CPR awareness, and more!

The Mount Vernon City School District is pleased to announce that Pre-K 4 early registration and the Pre-K 3 lottery application will open in early March for the 2026–27 school year. Pre-K 4 Early Registration will be open from March 2 to June 19, 2026. The Pre-K 3 lottery will be open March 1 to June 19, 2026.
