PLEASE TAKE NOTICE that a Regular Meeting of the Mount Vernon Board of Education will be held on Tuesday, July 16, 2024, beginning at 6:30 p.m., at The Board of Education, 165 N. Columbus Avenue, Mount Vernon, NY 10553.  

Virtual Aviation Summer Camp flier, program beginning July 22.

Registration is open for the Mount Vernon High School Summer Aviation Camp, beginning Monday, July 22, 2024. There are 20 spots available for incoming ninth grade students at MVHS, and the first 20 students to sign up will receive the spots. Sessions will be from 1:30 to 2:30 p.m. Click here to access the registration form. 

Physical Exam reminder for all fall sports

All students interested in playing a fall sport (Football, girls volleyball, boys volleyball, girls soccer, boys soccer, girls tennis, girls cross country track, boys cross country track, cheerleading, and girls swimming) should make sure they have an up to date physical. You may go to your own physician or physicals will be offered at MVHS, MV STEAM Academy and DWSA:

The Mount Vernon Board of Education has decided to disable comments on its Facebook live stream of future Board of Education meetings until further notice due to posts that have been negative, harmful and occasionally do not meet Board of Education policy. Comments will be turned off for meetings beginning with the special meeting on Tuesday, July 9, 2024.

Click here to view virtual summer learning opportunities for the 2024 summer in the Mount Vernon City School District. These assignments will allow students to discover new cultures, get creative, learn and play, and stay sharp to avoid the summer slump with engaging math and reading activities. In addition to the K-12 summer reading assignments, K-6 students will receive extended learning and exploration through specially designed choice boards. These choice boards offer a variety of engaging activities that allow students to explore different places and topics from around the world.
