BTA exceeds student activities fundraising goal

Benjamin Turner Academy held a special assembly to end the school day on Monday, where Principal Dr. Colleen Seivright-Crawford announced that the school surpassed their student activities fundraiser goal of $15,000. The funds will help offset costs for student field trips. 

BTA staff recognize the need for children to have experiences outside of the classroom, so their student activities advisor, Adrianne Stanley, entered the school into a Mrs. Fields fundraiser. Students sold $19,000 worth of products, and 30% of that will go directly to BTA for field trips.

Students were also awarded during the assembly for exceeding the expectations set for Positive Behavioral Supports and Interventions (PBIS) and i-Ready participation, with the students with the most PBIS points and minutes logged in i-Ready receiving certificates.

The four top sellers were recognized at the assembly, and their classes will get the first choices for where they will go for their field trips.
