Hello and Welcome all.

This video will walk you through the Mount Vernon City School District registration online portal. Please begin at the Mount Vernon City School District website: mtvernoncsd.org.

Proceed to click on the Registration button located at top right.

If you would like to view these instructions in another language, please click on the bottom right corner and you will see different languages. Just click on your language and then you will see the instructions in your language.

Next, you want to scroll through the registration page and read the Online registration dates and requirements for grades PREK through 12. Before starting your online application, please read the District Admission requirements under MORE INFORMATION and the Documents required for Residency Verification. It is important to have the correct residency documents to proceed with your application. You should also look at the Additional Documents required for registration. All these required documents will need to be scanned and uploaded to the application.

Next, when you are ready to begin your application scroll up and click on “FOR ALL GRADES-CLICK HERE TO ACCESS ONLINE REGISTRATION”, and it will show the school year we are currently in.

Next, you will be taken to the online registration portal, and you will have the option of choosing your preferred language if necessary. Then click on Start New Registration if this is your first time doing an application or click on Return to Saved Registration if you are returning to finish your application. Once you make your choice click Next.

Here you will add your FIRST NAME then your LAST NAME. Your date of birth, your email address, (please make sure to add an email address, this is the only way you will receive information on your application and confirmation that your child has been enrolled), also whether your child previously attended the district and then type the letters you see displayed on the image. Then click on BEGIN REGISTRATION.

The next page will show you your application number, please write this number down to assure that you can get back to your application in case you become disconnected. Please note, this does not mean you have registered your child, click Confirm to continue with your registration.

Next, you will type your First name and Last name and then click on Next.

On this page you will see the Mount Vernon City School district Registration checklist. It will show you the required registration documents, and the required residency documents so you can have on hand to scan and upload to the application. When ready click on Begin.

On this page you will begin the application first by answering questions under the Primary Household, please note that the required fields will have a red asterisk and there are sections where required documents that need to be uploaded will also have the red asterisk. You will see an error message when a question or a document with a red asterisk has not been completed. After you complete each section, please remember to click on Save/Continue and this will take you to the next page on your application.

If you are registering more than one child, on the STUDENT TAB you will see here that you can ADD ANOTHER CHILD. You do not need to do a new application for each child.

Please note that you need to complete the entire application and click on SUBMIT at the end for a Registrar to receive your application and review it. You will receive an email after it has been assigned and reviewed by a Registrar, with the name and address of the new school your child will attend.

If you are a new bilingual family in Mount Vernon, the application process is the same. As mentioned at the beginning, you can change the language of the application to your preferred language. If you have any questions about ENL services for your child, you can go to the registration page and scroll down to the Bilingual Registration section, and you will see the contact information for the ENL department.
