    Surprise your friend with a candy delivery on Friday 10/29. Order your candygram by Thursday (must be paid for by Thursday or order will be cancelled.) Payments to Ms. Izzo during lunch periods. Cash only.

  • CONSTITUTION OF THE A.C.T.I.O.N.

    ORGANIZATION OF MOUNT VERNON HIGH SCHOOL

     

    Article I. Name and Purpose

    This association shall be known as A.C.T.I.O.N. the Advisory Council to insure open negotiations between students, teachers and administrators of Mount Vernon High School. All 9th to 12th graders are automatically members of A.C.T.I.O.N. and may attend any and all of the meetings.

    Its purposes shall be:

    (a)To provide a vehicle to maintain an open dialogue concerning pertinent school topics and issues between the students, staff, and administration.

    (b)  To act, through the Faculty Treasurer of the Extra Classroom Activity Fund, as collector, custodian, and disburser of all funds from the A.C.T.I.O.N. account in the best interest of M.V.H.S. (see By-Laws)

    (c)  To transact such other, business of a general interest to the student body of the school and teaching staff as is not otherwise provided for.

    (d)  To encourage a school culture that empowers students, increases engagement and provides a welcoming environment for ALL students.

    (e)  Advocate for excellence in academic activities and clubs as well as community outreach.
