Greetings Team Columbus!
It is with great pleasure that I introduce myself to you as the new assistant principal of Columbus School. I am so excited to serve the students, staff, and families of this amazing school. I welcome all input, and opportunities to collaborate with community stakeholders to help Columbus’ students soar to new heights, both personally and academically.
While I am new to the school, and position, I am a veteran in the field of education and the Mount Vernon City School District. In fact, 2020 marks my 20th year anniversary! I began my career as a kindergarten teacher and transitioned into administration from a 5th grade teacher of math and science. I am also a native of the fine city of Mount Vernon, and a graduate of the Mount Vernon City School District. I can still remember the names of teachers who helped shape my thinking and pushed me to reach my full potential. Mrs. Cardaci, Mrs. Coppola, Mrs. Cromer, Mr. Court, and Mr. Lanzetta are just a few! And I am eternally grateful.
I am a fully committed educational partner for every student in our building. Using the A.V.I.D program, rigorous instruction, adaptive curriculum, and maintaining a strong home-school connection I am confident that every child will make positive academic gains and unlock their full potential. The goal is to prepare our children to be self-reliant, goal-oriented, happy, productive members of the global society. And together, will can achieve this!
Again, I am honored to be a part of the Columbus School as your assistant principal. I look forward to working and growing with the staff, students, and families of this school.
Please reach out to me; I love networking and connecting with people. I am here to serve.
