Graphic Arts is a one credit Career and Technical Education course designed to expose the student to current methods of mass production inthe graphic arts communication medium. This beginning level graphic arts class is offered to students in grades 9-12. The course introduces the student to the exciting field of graphics and its impact on communication. This course provides the student with the skills to explore employment in the graphic arts field of work and provides a basis for further learning at a higher level of education. Some examples of work created in graphic arts are newspapers,magazines, booklets, brochures, print advertisements, newsletters, and posters. Many people in diverse occupations play a part in creating, planning and producing these graphic messages. Each student will learn about the nature of some of these occupations. Every student will participate as an individual and as group members in order to ensure the success of this classroom experience.
