Summer Distance Learning

Program Overview 
The Summer Distance Learning Academic Camp will service rising First through Fifth Grade students from across the district who require additional academic support to successfully meet grade level standards for the upcoming school year. 

  • The program will serve all student demographics including ELLs and SWDs. The program will operate for 24 days, four days per week, six hours per day.
  • As a distance learning program, teachers will be required to provide direct, explicit instruction to whole groups and differentiated instruction to small groups, remotely. Teachers will provide live instruction via Zoom and Schoology Conference. Screencast-o-matic will be used as a secondary instructional resource.
  • Students’ overall academic performance will be evaluated through digital portfolios. All students will be required to actively participate between the hours of 9 a.m. and 3 p.m.
