Payroll

Policies

Listed below are new policies the District is implementing to help assist the Payroll Department and MVCSD Staff:
  • If you need assistance from anyone in payroll, please call or email (contact info on side of page) to schedule an appointment. Appointments will be available on days or weeks when the payroll staff is not processing payroll. Drop-ins will no longer be permitted, allowing the staff to focus on their duties without interruptions. This change aims to reduce errors.
  • Payroll checks will no longer be picked up in the Payroll Department. They will be distributed in the main office in each building. After 30 days, payroll checks will be sent back to the Payroll Department to be mailed. If the payroll staff needs to see anyone regarding their paycheck, an appointment must made to collect the payroll check.
  • Timesheets must be submitted promptly. Timesheets sent to the Payroll Department within 30 days will be paid on the next payroll date unless there is an issue with the timesheet. Any timesheet received later than 30 days will be paid at the discretion of the payroll department and may have a penalty or reduction in the amount (as per contracts).
  • Timesheets must be original forms with signatures in blue or black ink from employees and approvers. They will be sent back and not processed if they are not the original form, have missing signatures, are photocopies of a prior one with dates changed, or were completed in pencil, crayons, erasable ink, markers, etc.
  • To process timesheets efficiently, please complete the timesheet in its entirety. Include the employee's first and last name, employee ID #, school building, etc. Incomplete timesheets will be sent back to the employee until completed correctly.

Important Payroll Notice

On Thursday, October 31, 2024, the Payroll Department will conduct its annual payroll audit.

All payroll checks will be distributed as physical live checks, NOT directly deposited into your account. At that time, a location in each building will be determined for distribution.

Employees must show valid photo ID and sign that they are receiving their paycheck.

In addition to the payroll checks, you will receive a contract salary letter with your salary, step, and lane and an attendance letter for your review.
