Athletics

The Mount Vernon City School District's Athletic Department provides guidance and direction for our schools’ sports programs. This includes preparing a budget and allocating spending on items like coach’s salaries, team travel, equipment purchases, and facility upkeep.

Additionally, the Athletic Department is responsible for coordinating with coaches about scheduling of games and practices and collaborating with conferences and leagues about subjects such as post-season play. Our department assures student athletes are academically and medically eligible for a given sport.
