Testing Information - High School
Over the course of the year, students will be taking the College Board PSAT/SAT, College Board Advanced Placement (AP), International Baccalaureate (IB) and New York State Regents exams. The results of these state assessments are used to:
- Help parents understand their children's academic progress.
- Assist teachers in evaluating how well students are grasping the material being taught.
- Enable school, district, and state education leaders to identify what is working well and what needs improvement.
- Allow stakeholders to recognize any achievement gaps that may be emerging among different student populations.
- Determine graduation status and college entrance

- Monday, September 14, 2026: (Window opens) Beginning-of-Year Diagnostic (BOY) Assessment iReady (K-8 Reading & Math); Elementary School, Middle School, High School
- Wednesday, October 7, 2026: MVCSD SAT Day (12th Grade); High School
- Wednesday, October 7, 2026: MVCSD PSAT/NMSQT (Preliminary SAT/National Merit Scholarship Qualifying Test - Eligible 11th Grade); High School
- Friday, November 6, 2026: End of Marking Period 1; Elementary School, Middle School, High School
- Wednesday December 16, 2026: PreACT® 6/8/9 (MV STEAM ENTRANCE TEST); Grade 8, Middle School.
- Monday, January 11, 2027: (Window opens) Middle-of-Year Diagnostic (MOY) Assessment iReady (K-8 Reading & Math); Elementary School, Middle School, High School
- Tuesday, January 26, 2027: NYS Regents January (January 26-29); High School
- Friday, January 29, 2027: End of Marking Period 2; Elementary School, Middle School, High School
- Monday, February 1, 2027: WIDA Exam (February 1 - April 9); Elementary School, Middle School, High School.
- Wednesday, March 24, 2027: MVCSD SAT Day (11th Grade); High School
- Wednesday, April 14, 2027: MVCSD PSAT™ 9/10; High School
