Testing Information - High School

 Dear Grades 9-12 Parents & Guardians,

In a few weeks, students will be taking the College, Board PSAT/SAT, College Board Advanced Placement (AP), International Baccalaureate (IB) and New York State Regents exams. The results of these state assessments are used to:

• Help parents understand their children's academic progress.
• Assist teachers in evaluating how well students are grasping the material being taught.
• Enable school, district, and state education leaders to identify what is working well and what needs improvement.
• Allow stakeholders to recognize any achievement gaps that may be emerging among different student populations.
• Determine graduation status and college entrance
