What are your post-graduate plans (i.e., college, workforce, etc.)?
I will be attending the University at Albany this fall 2020 and I will be pursuing a combined program, which entails a bachelor’s in Psychology and a master’s in Mental Health Counseling.

Which Mount Vernon school teacher has influenced you the most, and why?
Mrs. Janet Whyte has been the most influential Mount Vernon school teacher in my life. Her phenomenal ability to relate to me beyond my academics and in my personal life has really pushed me to excellence.

What is your favorite memory from your senior year?
My favorite memory from senior year would be the informative and animated discussions I had in my SUPA Gender Studies class with Ms. Dellaporte.

If you could tell your freshman self one thing, what would it be?
I completed my freshman year of high school at the St. Andrew High School for girls in Kingston, Jamaica, and it was a completely different experience than now, however I would tell her to be more involved in her school community and be more fearless.

How would you describe the Class of 2020?
I would describe the Class of 2020 as resilient. We have all faced adversity throughout our four years of high school, however to meet such an unprecedented challenge at the final lap and to be able to bounce back - astonishing!
