What are your post-graduate plans (i.e., college, workforce, etc.)?
My post-graduation plans are to go to a four-year college and major in early childhood education. I hope to work on my college campus throughout my four years and earn my bachelor’s degree then my master’s.

Which Mount Vernon schoolteacher has influenced you the most, and why?
The Mount Vernon teachers that have influenced me the most are Mrs. Brown, my 10th-grade English teacher, and Ms. Hosin, my 11th- and 12th-grade history teacher, because both teachers cared for students outside of schoolwork. They pushed me to my full potential even when I doubted myself. They helped me gain more confidence in my schoolwork and inspired me to pursue a career in education.

What is your favorite memory from your senior year?
My favorite memories from my senior year are the Halloween and Black History Month spirit weeks.

I would tell my freshman self to stay true to yourself, don’t allow society and bad influence or others’ actions to influence your action. I would invest in myself more into becoming a better person overall.
