Ubiquitous Access (UA) Program
What we know is that education is changing dramatically. Education is now geared towards helping the students become creative problem solvers, effective collaborators, and innovative change agents. As a result, education must shift its focus from the teacher as the "delivery agent of all knowledge," to students making meaning of and applying content that is readily available at their fingertips.
Through the educational shifts students are experiencing, they must be provided with the necessary tools to navigate in this new learning environment. This year at the STEAM School we will be initiating the Ubiquitous Access Program where every 9th and 10th Grader will have anytime access to a Dell Latitude 3189 2-in-1 Laptop. This Laptop allows you to view and write from any angle or mode—flat, tent, tablet or laptop. The two-in-ones make it easy for students to create, collaborate and share ideas. It comes with 10+ hours of battery life and a sealed, spill-resistant keyboard, rubberized edges and drop protection, so it can withstand lockers, lunchrooms, backpacks and buses.
