Ms. Bidosky has been an Early Literacy Specialist within the Mount Vernon City School District for 3 years. Her role as an Early Literacy Specialist is to provide students in kindergarten through second grade with academic intervention support (AIS) in the areas of literacy.

    Ms. Bidosky is a graduate from the College of Saint Rose located in Albany, New York. She has earned a dual bachelors degree in early childhood education and special education (birth-grade 2). Ms. Bidosky also holds a masters degree in literacy (birth-grade 6). 
    What is AIS? According to the Mount Vernon City School District, "Academic Intervention Services are defined as additional instructional services that supplements regular classroom instruction and/or student support services designed to help students achieve the New York State learning standards. In addition, services are provided to those students who are identified as being at-risk of not gaining the skills and knowledge necessary to meet or exceed designated performance levels on the New York State assessments."
